X-Men Berlin
The "X-Men Berlin" project started 1997. Members are: Pacou, HendriX, T. Litschko (the 2 guys are "Sender Berlin")
There were no names or catalogue numbers on any of the records, which makes it hard to identify what is what.
Now, here is the full info about the project.
1. The first release :
"Cats, Cars & Colt 45" 1997
The first release was recorded in
Berlin by Pacou and HendriX, and cut by Ron Murphy in Detroit during our trip there summer of 97: A Side holds 2 tracks playing
inside out. B Side holds 3 tracks playing inside out. about 350 copies were manufactured, 50
sold in Detroit at Submerge, 300 at Hardwax recordshop Berlin. Vinyl groove reads: (H+P) The
X-Men Berlin "Cats, Cars And Colt 45" 2. The second release: "Source
unknown" 1998 A Side holds 2 tracks and a locked
groove loop inbetween, produced by Sender Berlin. B Side holds: locked
groove-intro-2 tracks by Pacou Vinyl groove reads: The X-Men
Berlin #1 (="are number one", this isn't the cat-number)
"Source Unknown" The first edition was on white
vinyl and marked with a silver stamp. 3. The third release "Full
Red" 1998 After the sucsess we planned a
special for our trip to Japan Summer 1998, a 10" picture
disk. A Side holds 1 track by Sender
Berlin B Side holds 2 tracks by Pacou about 270 copies were made. 50 sold at
Hardwax recordshop Berlin, 200 sold at Technique recordshop
Tokyo. The remaining are our private copies. Vinyl reads "X-Men #02"
because we had to give the pressing plant a catalog number ;)
Actually this is the third release, because the first one was
pressed up in Detroit. The picture is a "3D" image of Mars (hence the stereo image glasses in the package).
Writing:"This item is number 3 of 3 in a series of spaced
out music releases" (sic) 4. The re-release 1999 "X-Men
97-98" Because of continued market demand
we decided to re-release the rarest tracks on another single. The single had black labels, no
markings and holds these tracks: A-Side 1. Pacou track B1 of
"Full Red EP", 2. Sender Berlin track of "Full Red
EP" B-Side 1. one Pacou track of
"Cats Cars and Colt 45", 2. one HendriX track of
"Cats Cars and Colt 45"
